Description

History:

The Maison Noble de Gréteau (Gréteau Noble House), dating back to the XVIIth century was originally a hunting lodge for the Duke of Epernon. For a long time it was the property of Marguerite de Ségonzac Montesquieu, the widow of Jaques de Noyer de Ségonzac, advisor for the Bordeaux Houses of Parliament. The domain, located in the district of Haux, includes nine hectares of red vines and two hectares of white vines.

Standards: Bordeaux Blanc AOC

Vintage: 2006

Grape Varieties:

80% Sauvignon

10% Semillon

10% Muscadelle

Characteristics:

This Duc de Lazière wine offers a shiny colour and an intense perfume with a hint of fruit. This wine makes a good impression on the mouth and retains certain versatility. The delicious finish is very fresh.

Soil:

The eleven-hectare domain stretches over well-exposed soil, on a hillside. It is of argilo-calcareous nature and draws on limestone bedrock which is perfectly appropriate for the culture of this wonderful white wine.

Recommendations of the Sommelier:

This delicate wine deserves to be served with very sweet flavours. It can be consumed straight away and over four years. Poured into a carafe 30 minutes before serving and served at 18°C, it will delight the taste buds of all connoisseurs of the great dry white wines.
