History:
The small vineyard of Pomerol is situated on the left bank of the Dordogne, right at the entrance of Libourne. Cine growing in the region of Pomerol dates back to the Gallo-Roman time but acquired its fame under the impulse of the Hospotallers of Saint Join, who established their commander’s residence in the 12th century.

Characteristics:
A carmine robed wine with reddish glints, having a fine and elegant nose with lingering notes of spices and dry fruits. The tannins provide the required roundness for that pleasant velvety feel in the mouth. A well balanced wine for immediate enjoyment but has ageing characteristics as well.

The soil of Pomerol is suitable for vine growing: Old and heavy sandy soil which gives the wine its particular vitality.
Recommendations of the Sommelier:
Served 17°C. This wine goes well with grilled red meat, duct fillet, assorted meats and sauce dishes.
