History:
Since the beginning of the 19th century the estate has had different owners but all of have shown the same enthusiasm and sense of belonging to that exceptional place: the Massé of Corneilles responsible for the amazing restoration of the castle under the supervision of Viollet-le-Duc and his pupil; J.
Balluteaud who provided the underground cellars with peculiar stone tables and benches for the wine tasting ceremony.
As from 1962, Jacques Borie restored the 59 hectares of the vineyard in such a remarkable way so that it became the most important one of the region of Fronsadais. Since 2003 Jame Grégoire, spellbound with that unique estate, took control of its destiny.
The estate covers an area of 85 hectares of which there are 60 hectares of vineyards. It dominates the Dordogne Valley from which it takes advantage of the favorable climatic conditions. The clayey and chalky soil is dominant with two particular exposures: Vineyards situated on the chalky plateau and others on the slopes, benefit from the southern exposure on molasse soils.
