History:
Chartreuse of the 18th century, set out in the midst of vineyards on the gravelly plateau of St Estèphe, the Château Laffitte Carcasset produces wine since 1790, when Monsieur Joseph Laffitte, the royal prosecutor acquired the estate and set up the vineyards.
In 1955 Viscount Pierre de Padirac acquired the estate. The vineyards were extended and numerous technical improvements were made so as to improve the quality of the wine.

Characteristics:
The Laffitte Carcasset wine is typical of its appellation. A well-balanced tannic wine, it has intense aromatic notes.
Soil:
The vineyard has an area of ten hectares on a clayey and chalky soil of the Garonne region.

Best with red meat.
